Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
As a freshman school can be very stressful and overwhelming. Everything is new: the classmates, the teachers and the teaching methods. In this article I will write about some tips I wish I had known before.
Firstly, I think it is very important to have a good relationship with your classmates and also with your teachers. Be open to others and make friends. That way school will be less boring. If you have a good relationship with your classmates, they could be very helpful with studying.
In my opinion, good notetaking and studying techniques are very important. Pay attention in class. You can learn a lot of things that way and you don't have to study that much at home. Personally, I cannot study when my notes are not organised. Taking notes and decorating it can also make studying more interesting.
One of the most important things is time management. In my freshman year, I always studied at the last minute - because of this, I was always too stressed and I got bad grades. Start studying in time and you won't be overwhelmed.
School can be enjoyable, just don't stress too much about little things and have a study- method that works for you.

(3 dolog, amit jó lett volna tudnom, amikor kilencedikes lettem a Babitsban)
As a freshman, high school can feel like a big change, and everyone goes through the experience of figuring out how to navigate it.
You’ve been asked to write an article for the school newspaper, sharing three important things that you wish you had known when you first entered Babits. The goal is to help incoming freshmen feel more prepared for their own high school journey.
In your article, you should:
Provide three tips or pieces of advice for freshmen. These could be related to:
How to manage time effectively (between schoolwork and extracurricular activities);
which school programs or clubs they should get involved in;
any fun or useful thing(s) to try.
Be clear and specific: Don’t just say, "join a club," but tell them why and how getting involved early can make a difference.
Your article should be between 150-200 words.
Ajánlom az írásokat minden 9-10. évfolyamos tanulónak. Szerintem nagyon tanulságosak!
Köszönöm a jelenlegi 12.D és 12.E osztályos tanulóknak, hogy megoszthatom gondolataikat.

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
Starting high school can be exciting but also scary. When I became a freshman at Babits I was afraid of a lot of things. Now, looking back at that time of my life, there are a lot of things that I could have done differently. For this reason I will tell you about the three most important things that could have changed the trajectory of my freshman year.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help:
When I started my first year at Babits, I didn't really know how high school life worked and I was afraid to ask for help or reassurance. The truth is that asking your teachers or other students for help shows that you care about learning. Teachers will respect it if you ask them for any help.
Time management as a student:
One of the biggest challenges that students face, especially in their first month of high school, is time management. September went by fast for me, but in October I had to face a lot of tests at once. That's when I learned that you should never put off learning until the last day before the test. Also create a self-made planner that lets you arrange your tasks for the day, including clubs and sports.
Make a lot of friends:
If you make a lot of friends at the beginning of the year, you will never feel or be alone. Most of these connections will fade later on and you will find your real circle of friends anyways.
To sum it up, high school doesn't have to be scary or frightening. You just have to make the right choices for yourself.

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
As a freshman high school can feel like a big change. The first year of high school is usually difficult and challenging for the students. I remember the anxiety I felt when I first stepped in the new school two and a half years ago. I was so worried that I wouldn't be smart enough for the teachers and wouldn't be cool enough for my classmates. But with time, that feeling faded.
My advice to the freshmen who feel lonely and a little lost now is to join a club. It doesn't really matter what kind, whatever you are interested in. It can be a sports club or you can participate in the programs the school organisers. I promise, you will get a lot of new friends and will have an amazing time.
Moreover, managing your time effectively is also essential. If you always study the night before the tests come up, you will be worried and you surely won’t pass with flying colours. Instead, when you get home after school, rest for a short period of time, then start to study the things you learned that day in school. You don't have to sit there for hours, just have a quick revision. Trust me, studying will get easier and more effective for you.
My last advice to you is quit overthinking. When I was a freshman, I was afraid of the teachers. And worried about my grades. But all that stress was for nothing. Most of the teachers are very kind and helpful, so stop that useless overthinking.
Lastly, dear freshmen, enjoy your education in Babits Gimnázium. Welcome!

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
When I got accepted at PTE Babits and started learning here, I had no idea what was going to happen. I had no friends here and I didn't recognise anyone.
My first advice is to introduce yourself to everyone and make a lot of friends. This made my school experience better. If you know a lot of people in school, it's more fun and you can meet them after school.
My second advice is: get information of clubs or after school activities. There are hundreds of options, for example the 3D printing club. There you learn to model things on the computer and then make them into reality. If you are more a sports person you can join the school’s volleyball or basketball team.
My last but not least important advice is: complete the 50 hours of voluntary work done. Later you can get in trouble if you don't have enough hours. There are a lot of things you can do, so do the 50 hours as soon as possible.
To summarise: expect the best and prepare for the worst.

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
When I started high school at Babits I was extremely shy and pretty antisocial. The idea of joining anything or talking to new people honestly scared me. Looking back, I wish I had done things differently. Here are three things I learned.
1) Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. In 9th grade (0th year), I avoided everything: clubs, events, even talking to classmates. I thought I wouldn't fit in. But once I slowly started opening up, I realised that everyone else was nervous, too. It's OK to feel anxious but taking that first small step makes a big difference.
2) Learn to manage your time. At first, I had no idea how to handle all the homework and subjects. I often left things until the last minute and felt stressed all the time - and sometimes, even now, I still struggle with that. But later I started using a planner and broke tasks into smaller pieces, which helped me stay organised and feel more in control.
3) Don't be afraid to ask for help. I used to think that asking questions made me look weak or less smart. So instead of saying something, I would stay confused and try to figure everything out on my own. But the truth is, teachers actually want to help, and so do your classmates. Understanding home work or just talking about how you feel, asking for support can really take a weight off of your shoulder.
These lessons took time to learn, and to be honest, I'm still working on them. So don't worry.

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
I’m currently a senior at Babits Gimnázium. As a student who has already been here for four years. I found some useful tricks and methods to survive this institution.
We need to clear the fact that everybody talks about: the stress. High school will be 10 times easier than elementary if you follow my advice.
First things first: do not mess with the older ones - you need to earn their respect. For example if you are in the situation where your class plays a senior class’ team. Then you need to do some extra stuff, like scoring a big goal. Do not be impatient, wait for the right moment.
Secondly, have a good relationship with your teachers. This is the best advice, and the most important one. Whenever in need of help, they're there for you and if you do something wrong, it can change the rhythm of the relationship. Be a bit cheeky, use jokes and feel free to speak. The kind and nice teachers will see the potential in you.
Thirdly, take part in school tournaments such as volleyball or football. There you can make loads and loads of friends.
In conclusion, don't panic, just be chill and everyone will like you.

Three things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
As a third grader in Babits, here are my top three pieces of advice for a freshman who is starting at Babits.
First of all, it is important to pay attention in the lessons. For the first glance it may seem that you can just play through all the lessons because all of the ppts will be uploaded to Teams but that’s not true at all. It will be easier if you just pay attention to your teacher – that way half the curriculum will be learned. Believe me, I learned the hard way that it is much harder and more time consuming if you try to learn it from the ppts.
This has a great connection to my second tip: manage your time effectively. It is much easier if you don’t try to learn everything at the last moment. It is much much harder when you try to learn the last month’s curriculum in one night.
And for last it is important to try to do the 50 hours of voluntary work. Do not leave it for the last moment.
In conclusion the most important idea is to manage your time while enjoy these four years of your life.

3 things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
Going to a high school and being a freshman is an exciting but also burdensome “experience”.
You can get to know new people, you have the chance to learn about some interesting subjects or facts. In this article I want to mention some ideas that can help the new students.
TIMETABLE
First of all, in the first weeks of school you should make a timetable. When I was a freshman it could help me to arrange my time. Moreover, in this way I didn’t forget to do all of my tasks.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS
In addition, I recommend participating in school programs. In the first year you don’t have to learn as much as in the following years, so you should take part in these activities. In this way you can forget for a short period of time about the stressing days of school. Furthermore, you can win valuable prices.
VOLUNTEERING
Besides those I suggest you should complete your 50-hour voluntary work as soon as possible. In the following years you will have more and more tasks to do and also it can happen that you can’t go to a place that is appealing for you.
To sum up, there are a lot of fun things to do in your first year of school, but beyond the entertaining opportunities you have to make a timetable – because it will help you in the future.

3 things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
If you’re reading this you’ve probably got accepted to Babits and you need advice on what you should prepare for. Being a freshman in high school looks hard, but it is so much worse than that - that is why I wrote this article to help you.
Sports
Doing an extracurricular sport and going to trainings after school take up a big chunk of your time, but they're worth it. I suggest that you keep going to trainings and do sports until you can because it's important for your mental health and helps you relax. If you don’t do sports regularly., you should. The school provides volleyball trainings after classes and we also have a running team.
School programs / clubs
Our school has a choir led by an accomplished teacher. He also has other bands and choirs such as VoiSingers. The school choir usually has concerts, two years ago they went to Dubai to have a concert. So if you’re good at singing I suggest you try it.
Socializing
When meeting your new classmates, don’t be afraid to start conversations and make friends. These friendships are very important, because they can help you with anything: helping in school or hanging out with them on weekends.
In my opinion these are the most important things in high school. The real goal is not getting into a university or graduating, it is the friends you make along the way.

3 things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
Starting high school can be both exciting and scary. There are a few things I wish I had known as a freshman that would have made my experience better.
Time management is really important. As a freshman, I often left home break until the last minute. This caused a lot of stress. I later learned that setting reminders help me stay on track and avoid unnecessary pressure.
Learning how to study is a skill. In middle school, I didn't need to study much. But high school is different. I wish I had learned how to take better notes, stay organised and review regularly instead of cramming before tests.
Make friends. School is less stressful this way. You don't need 100 friends but having a few people to talk to or laugh with makes everything much easier.
High school can be weird and stressful But with the right mindset, it's definitely more manageable and sometimes even fun.

3 things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
if you are currently studying at Babits high school you probably remember the beginning of the 9th class when everything was new. In this article I would like to share three things I wish I had known then.
Staying in school in the afternoon
In many elementary schools students have to go home after their last lesson, which means they can't stay in the school. It is surprising for many freshmen that they can stay in the building in the afternoon and study. This is very practical, when someone has trainings in the evening or has to wait for the bus.
Cafeteria
The second thing I wish I had known in my first year is that there is really delicious food in the cafeteria. Some freshmen try it on their first day but I believe that most of them go to the cafeteria later. Only then will they know how delicious bakery products are sold there.
Restrooms
Most freshmen don't know that there are two girls’ toilets on the second floor. This is not a big thing, but every girl is surprised when they get to know this fact after a few months of going to the school.

3 things I wish I had known when I was a freshman at Babits
Starting high school at Babits can feel like a big change, especially after primary school. When I was a freshman I had a lot of questions. Looking back, here are three things I wish someone had told me.
In primary school, everything felt easy and I thought high school would mean hours of studying every day. I was wrong. If you pay attention in class and manage your time well, you will be fine. Just stay organised and don't leave everything for the last minute.
At first look Babits might seem a bit big – but being in a big school means more people and more chances to try something new. Don't be afraid to talk to others and ask questions. At the end of the day it's a big family.
Always join sports days and sports competitions. Even if you are not super athletic, sports days at Babits are so much fun. Everyone gets involved and it's a great way to relax, have fun and make memories. Plus, these are great activities for team building too.
Overall, enjoy your time at Babits. These years go by faster than you think. Try new things, be yourself, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. You have got this!
